Soetkin Elbers
Soprano / Baroque / Live Electronics
Welcome
Thank you for visiting my website!
I am a Brussels-born soprano rooted in baroque music and historically informed performance, with a particular expertise in baroque gesture. My current projects bring this background into new contexts, including live electronics and improvisation.
Here you can find out more about my work, upcoming performances and current projects.
Warm greetings,
Soetkin
Solo voice + live electronics

Some of Soetkin's favourite works from the baroque vocal repertoire become the starting point for a live process of vocal transformation. Through real-time processing and sound synthesis, the voice becomes both singer and instrument.

BLOM+ELBERS
Soprano / Double bass / Early music / Live electronics / Improvisation
With double bassist Jennifer Blom, Soetkin combines early repertoire with looping, live electronics and improvisation, creating an atmospheric meeting point between baroque song and contemporary sound.
About Soetkin
From baroque opera and historically informed performance to theatre, contemporary music and improvisation, Soetkin Elbers has spent two decades exploring what a soprano can do. Her current work with live electronics brings many of these experiences together in a new way.
Currently working on...
Recording dialogues and songs for a Böhler&Orendt installation at Spreepark Berlin, opening in 2027;
my EP for solo voice and electronics; upcoming concerts with La Penserosa.
